Oct 30, 2014 – “We Removed Tambuwal Security Details Because He Left PDP” – Nigerian Police Force

Jonathan has ordered the immediate removal of the security details attached to House speaker Aminu Tambuwal few days after he dumped the ruling party for the opposition.

Nigeria Police Force PRO, Ojukwu has confirmed that the force withdrew the security details because Tambuwal defected to APC.

The official PR read:

“In view of the recent defection by the Right Honourable Aminu Waziri Tanbuwal, CFR, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, from the People Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressive Congress (APC), and having regard to the clear provision ofSection 68 (1) (g) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has redeployed its personnel attached to his office.”

Is there any chapter or portions under the constitution Nigeria operates that describes the Nigerian Police Force as belonging to the PDP or any ruling party.? How could Jonathan excersice such an arbitrary use of power without making reference to the constitution and the limit of power confered on him as a President as to the usage of the Nigerian Police Force. Hon. Tambuwal is no longer a member of PDP but remains the Speaker and Head of the Nigerian House of Representative, the 4th most important person in the Nigerian Social Political rankings and, for as long as he remains in the post; his life, safety and security remains in the hands of Nigerians whose powers and sovereignty were surrendered to you Mr President to excersice on our behalf. Nigerians did not vote to appoint you Jonathan as President to arbitrarily misuse our mandate given you at the polls. A second look be taken at Nigerian constitution to reduce the arbitrary use of security agency by the President, otherwise Nigerians may be sitting on a dangerous keg of time bomb.

It is very unfortunate for mr president to withdrew mr speaker,s security details.Mr president has forgotten that it was our collective votes that gave him the power to be president of this great country.Mr president should remember there is God. The same God that gave him our mandate last time can also take it from him come 2015.Mr president, we love u alot. please dont offend our GOD by doing wrong things .
