A woman identified as Salamatu Baba has been arrested and jailed for dumping her day-old baby in the bush in Ifelodun area of Kwara State Nigeria. naijagists.com
According to a complainant, Sarki Abubakar, 48-year-old Salamatu allegedly dumped her day old baby boy in a bush Close to Kara Market in Ajase-Ipo on the 30th of Sept, 2012.
The divorced mother of 10 who pleaded guilty to the offence said she lost her mind.
She has been sentenced to 6 months in jail and the innocent baby has been handed over to her first child, Mr Babangida.
