A woman has pleaded not guilty to murder in Ogun state following a fatal knife attack on her husband-to-be.
The suspect, Abosede Omolara allegedly stabbed her fiance, Dauda Sodiq during an argument over misappropriation of fund reserved for their upcoming wedding.
She was arrested and taken to police custody where she said the brutal attack was done in self defense.
Abosede said her fiance whom she’s planning to wed in December 2016 sent her packing after abusing her.
Before the murder, the mother of the deceased reportedly ordered the suspect to return to the house with the promise that she will soon join them to settle the money wastage matter.
To cut the long story short, the couple started arguing over misappropriation of fund reserved for their wedding again and before people could intervene, 23-year-old Abosede had stabbed Dauda on the rib.
He was rushed to Ijebu Ode General Hospital where he gave up the ghost on Tuesday the 18th of October 2016.
As at the time of this report, Abosede has refused to take a guilty plea.
According to her, she would have died of stab wounds if she didn’t defend herself with the kitchen knife she used in killing her fiance.
Her case has been transferred to the homicide section of SCIID in Abeokuta for further investigation.

There won’t be any argument again. More so, I seems not to understand this statement “The mother of the deceased reported ordered the suspect to return to the house with the promise that she will soon join her to settle the matter” or the mother in-law meant the suspect will soon join the deceased? Rip boy.

One look at her and one can tell that if she hadn‘t kill the man before the marriage, she would have done same after the marriage anyway.
