70 Year Old Woman Owing 20 Years House Rent In Osogbo Dragged To Court By Landlord
A widow has been dragged to court for owing house rent of over 20 years.
The 70-year-old widow identified as Elizabeth Adeoni was arraigned in an Osogbo customary court yesterday for refusing to pay her rent since 1995.
Her landlord, Lateef Adegoke begs the court to help him recover his money from the septuagenarian who also pleaded with the court to beg Adegoke not to eject her.
Madam Adeoni said she couldn’t pay her rent because her husband and two children have died.
The court charged the widow to find something doing in order to be able to pay her rent.
The President of the court, Ladipo Balogun adjoured the case till March 15 for hearing.
