Several days after the sudden death of Nollywood actor Enebeli Elebuwa at an hospital in New Delhi India, NaijaGists.com received an email from a man who said he was a close friend of the deceased. naijagists.com
He claims the actor might have committed suicide. According to the email, the actor who battled stroke for months lost the will to live before his death.
We learnt when he heard about the death of fellow actor Pete Eneh, he contacted his close friend and opened up his heart to him.
Here is a line from the email:
I’m suffering ***name withheld** I need a peaceful place. See my condition is getting worse daily. I need a better place.
The man said when he received his call, he quickly paid him a visit in India to better hear from him.
In their conversation, we learnt the actor said he is not happy about his condition. Though the doctors at the hospital are taking good care of him but it seems his time to go is already here.
Enebeli Elebuwa told me, please tell the doctors, I need a better place.
“I said there is no better place than here now when your time is over, God will take you by himself. Don’t worry I will be here for you. Because of his condition I changed my ticket to leave India one month later because I think he needs someone to talk to constantly” – The friend said
The man further said he left the hospital for his hotel that day and to his surprise, on getting to the hospital the next morning, he learnt he has died.
“One thing I forgot to do is to tell the doctors to put him on suicide watch.
But whatever happens, I know he is in a better place. He is irreplaceable.
I will forever miss him. May the soul of my best friend Andrew rest in peace. ” – concluded the source.

have been hearing so many news about this actor but have not hear anything about his family…. does it mean he is not married and not have children…. has he no family? somebody that knows better should please inform me…. I am so much confused on the whole stories…

I dont think he committed suicide. I feel he knows it was time for him to go. Cos i can remember my dad on his dying bed he said he was go home and people are waiting for him cant i see them. He wants to dress up. Before i know it it was all over.

The dead is dead and gone, why lies and speculations? How can somebody who claimed to be born again commit suicide knowing the consequences? A man such as Andrew?

This is sad. What a tragedic news. Nobody knws may be he commited d succide, coz according to d fwends speach, he isn’t too sure. He myt killed hymsf n vice versa. Coz d persn leaved d place. He myt died during d nyt, when God called upon hym n also vice varsa.

I am truly sad of his death. “Mr. Friend” whatever the late Enebeli told you, does not in any way prove that he comitted suicide. Some dying people when their tym approaches do say/show some signs of their impending “departure”.

If he committed suicide, the doctors would be the first to release the news.
Please let it not be said that a man who traveled to Indian to save his life is the one they say committed suicide. Please let this rumor not go beyond this page. I plead that this news be withdrawn. Let us not tarnish the good image that this man had worked hard to establish in his life time. It is not fair at all for someone who claims to be his friend to come out anonymously and say He committed suicide, when the doctors and specialists that attended treated and attended to the Actor till his time of death said no such thing about him.

i doubt if the man was truly a good friend. why in the world will i want to give such impression of my ‘good fried’ to the whole world when i know he wont be there to say yes or no. you see when we are talking about the dead we need to be very careful. anyone that cast aspersions on the integrity of the dead is either a coward or mischievous. same goes to Chinua Achebes of this world.
