Controversy trailed the Silverbird MBGN 2018, which held last night, Friday, September 21, 2018. The event saw Miss Imo’s Anita Ukah claiming the top spot and consequently crowned the most beautiful girl in Nigeria, 2018. The reigning Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, who was crowned less than 24 hours ago, is no doubt a beautiful lady; elegantly blessed with a model-like body and height. She stands at an incredible 6ft 2″ (an incredible height for a lady).
However, a mild controversy trailed her announcement as the winner of the MBGN 2018. Most negative reactions that followed opined that, she’s not stunning enough to be crowned the MBGN”.
MBGN 2017: Ugochi Ihezue
Age: 28 (27 when she was crowned)
The dethroned queen, Ihezue Ugochi, was officially the most beautiful in Nigeria for the past 12 months, up until last night when Anita Ukah took over the reins from her.
She represented Kebbi state in the 2017 MBGN competition, which she eventually won, and went on to represent Nigeria at the Miss World 2017 edition.
MBGN 2016 & 2015: Anyadike Temitope Unoaku
Age: 24 ( 22 & 21 respectively when she was crowned)
Anyadike Unoaku, a representative of Akwa Ibom State holds the record for the only women to have been crowned MBGN back to back. She won the 2015 edition and also went on to win the succeeding edition, in 2016. Stunning is an understatement for this beautiful damsel.
MBGN 2014: Iheoma Nnadi
Age: 23 (19 when she was crowned)
She was crowned the 2014 MBGN and went on to represent Nigeria at the global edition, Miss World, for that year. She recently got married, earlier this year, to a former Nigerian Footballer, Emmanuel Emenike.
MBGN 2013: Anna Banner
Age: 23 (18 when she was crowned MBGN)
This damsel was only 18 when she was crowned the most beautiful girl in Nigerian. She went on to represent Nigeria at the world’s stage. She is currently an actress and model.
Anna Banner is currently tied to a famous Nigerian musician, Flavour N’abania, as a Baby Mama.

Agbani Darego – MBGN 2001
Speaking of MBGN, Agbani Darego is inarguably the most successful; as she went on to win the grand-coveted crown of Miss World. In the process, she went on to become a global icon.
Adaeze Yobo (Igwe) – MBGN 2008
Adaeze was crowned the MBGN for the year 2008. She is a stunning beauty to behold. However. the most significant gist about her is her marriage to the former Nigerian Super Eagles Captain, Joseph Yobo. Together, they are blessed with 3 kids.
Munachi Abi (Nwankwo) – MBGN 2007
Apart from winning the MBGN in 2007, this damsel is also a talented musical artist. She is a rapper and a songwriter.

The peagent lost it’s credibility a long time ago. There were more beautiful and intelligent girls in d contest but she was chosen for whatever reasons. Wish her luck.
