Papa was born on the 27th of September, 1954 in Osogbo to the Nigerian family of Mr Ibrahim and Mrs Dorcas Oyedepo.

He is a native of Omu Aran in Kwara State, Nigeria.

He is blessed with four wonderful children namely David Oyedepo Jnr, Issac Oyedepo, Love Oyedepo & Joyce Oyedepo.

He is married to Mrs Faith Abiola Oyedepo and the couple recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary.
