Boy Locked Up By Police After Father Abandoned Him In Benin City Edo State Rescued
Little Okoro Chigozie has been rescued from Police detention days after his father allegedly abandoned him in Benin city.
The JSS2 student of a Anglican Grammar School in Ondo was allegedly abandoned at Faith Motors Benin city by his biological father.
The young boy was rescued when people saw him wandering about in a confused state of mind.
The Good Samarithan that rescued him dropped him at Okhuare Police Station in Edo state and that was the beginning of his sorrow.
The minor was treated like a common criminal and locked up in the State CID cell since the 23rd of May 2018 before Women Affairs Commissioner came to his rescue.
He was released to Child Protection Officer, Comrade Agugu Ehis today Thursday the 31st of May 2018.

Efforts are being made to locate his family members.
