On Sunday, Pastor Tunde Bakare, a former Deeper Lifer and the General Overseer of The Latter Rain Ministries in Lagos released a message supporting the controversial wedding of John Kumuyi, the 2nd son of Deeper Life GO, Pastor W.F Kumuyi (check it our here).
A devout deeper lifer few hours ago blasts Pastor Tunde Bakare for supporting the ‘indecent’ wedding.

NO DISRESPECT SIR,Especially being the man of God, but this is Hypocrisy…so annoying and ridiculous .
But would you please try as much as possible to ponder and consider other people’s feeling before coming in the public to insult millions of people AND STYLISHLY CALLING THEM FOOLS,
Didn’t ya’ll know about 1peter 3 or that issue of Esther in the Bible who gained the king’s attention by dressing well before carrying on with the DEEPER LIFE CHURCH’S DOCTRINE? and brain washing people with what is not? well its not their fault,its the people who reads the Bible but know not what it means, a verse in the Bible can mean 1 million things in different situations depending on circumstances,places,people etc..
For all these years the Leader of a church made the followers to observe a particular doctrine and then only to be broken by his own child,and from what i heard of his reaction towards the issue, he is sober and not happy with the situation and then this man of God came out to condemn a whole church(the body of Christ)YOU KNOW WHAT A CHURCH IS? THE REASON FOR BABA KUMUYI’S MINISTRY IS THE BODY OF CHRIST(THE CHURCH)
….saying JOHN KUMUYI AND WIFE ,they did nothing? and is that from the bible or where.. COZ THE BIBLE EMPHASIZES ENOUGH ON THE FACT THAT WE SHOULD TRAIN OUR CHILDREN IN THE WAY OF THE LORD SO WHEN THEY ARE GOWN THEY WOULD GIVE US PEACE,no one cares how or what happens,the fact remains that ” ISU BABA KUMUYI L’O TI OWO BABA BO EPO ” AND HE’S NOT LOOKING FOR EXCUSES BEING SPIRIT FILLED AND CALM AND KNOWING WHAT HAS HAPPENED..

Sayin John Kumuyi and wife did nothing is TELLING THE CONGREGATION OF THE DEEPER LIFE CHURCH THEIR MENTOR AND LEADER HAS DONE NOTHING WRONG BY HIS OWN CHILD BREAKING THE DOCTRINE OF A CHURCH WHICH MILLIONS OF SOULS BEEN OBSERVING FOR YEARS SMH… AM KINDA DISAPPOINTED IN THIS PUBLICITY.

Mr. Man, continue to carrying doctrine around and forget the heaven which is the best. who told u that this couple sinned against God? they can only go against your church doctrine but may means noting to God almighty. mind you, afterall you people have done your worst, leave the rest to God and allow him to do his own. But note this, no doctrine can take anybody to heaven. I will advice you to focus on your self and leave this couple alone to live their life afterall wives dresses to sweet their husbands not their churches. To the naijapals officials/editors…Firstly am a member of C.A.C agbala-itura,old Ife road,Ibadan,Nigeria and not a deeper life member,secondly i didn’t blast the Pastor… yesterday was my first time on naijapals being that a bro was on there and i caught up with what the pastor said… got nothing against the couple nor even baba kumuyi nor the congregation of the deeper life church,not even pastor Tunde Bakare himself coz the Bible says ”touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm,more so,who am i to judge anyone..my point is they(Pastors in general) should ponder and allow the holy spirit to speak through them and when the holy spirit is quiet they should just be quiet so to avoid saying blasphemy … In Him we live and have our being– He’s Adonai.

This is completely senseless. Why do people of this world only look at outward appearance. I somuch pity the sisters of DLC. They dress so poor while the brothers dress very good. Just as I do complain to one of my friends that is of DLC.
Whether they like it or not the couple are happily married n are very happy wherever they are right now,doctrine or no doctrine.
Let’s all focus on making heaven and make sure our relationship with God is good and rapturable.
God is using Pastor Kumuyi n will continue to use him.

My brother, don’t let ‘doctrine’ full your head and forget about heaven. Is it only Deeper Life that is the body of CHRIST, the Church? Now if you are talking about the Church, consider the entire body of Christ as a universal set of which DCLM is a subset; except you have your own definition of the Church, which is larger? the larger CHURCH is saying we are too hard on these young couple and you are talking about doctrine. I am a member of the church, Deeper Life that you zealously claim to defend but i see nothing wrong about the wedding. I think you are one of those who are not happy that;
1. Deeper Life now uses satellite means to preach the Gospel.
2. Deeper life mixes with other Pentecostal/Christians to conduct ground breaking crusades.
3. workers are permitted to have TVs in their houses.
these and more were Men’s doctrine as recently emphasised by Pastor himself. Read Galatians 6:17 The Message Bible “quite frankly, i don’t want to be bothered anymore by these disputes. i have far more important things to do-the serious living of this Faith. i bear in my body scars from my service to Jesus”.

There is no way we can all think alike ,the general overseer of deeper life was right on his action ,the couple too are right to have done what will make them happy, the people that were With G O too were right because they need to show they were with G O and order people that against too only want to show that this couples has done nothing wrong and that, we are now in millenniums ,thing has change and we must follow civilization.
But one thing we must all know is that everybody is fighting for his or her own INTREST and whatever interest we must be fighting for we must be godly with it ,but mind you godliness has nothing to do with religion and that is exactly where people miss things .independent of your interest you must fear god which they say is the begging of wisdom.
Now let get back to GO allegation for suspension of the couple the act in deeper life is what we call doctrine as we has it in order religion ,but any doctrine of ANY religion must make impact on the fellow ,the family ,to the community ,to the state and to the country as a whole .
My question now to the GO of deeper life is where is the impact of this doctrine to the national development ,if I must answer and I want orders to do the same thing,

Pls guys, take ur time to understand what the guy fissy/adeyemo is saying…. He has no problem with the couples or their dressing. He has a problem with pastor tunde publicly demeaning pastor kumuyi. Personally, its my opinion that if pastor tunde genuinely feels so bad about the suspension, he should call pastor kumuyi or write a letter, explaining his tho it’s on d matter, pastor to pastor. Not publicly condemning his own belief. If I was a pastor or pastoress, my chidren will be looked at to give great examples. Why would one rule apply to them, and another apply to someone else. We may all think that deeper life is extreme, how about d sabbath pple? Tuned bakare as a pastor should understand that kumuyi ought to go even harder on his son because if he doesn’t, others will follow suit, and the solid foundation which they have built solidly will fall.

This DLfer hasn’t said anything. He has only released sound without stuff. He didn’t give us any scripture to support DL’s action, he didn’t quote any scripture which John and Love disobeyed. Nothing! He was more concerned about his members being called ‘fools’! Very angry indeed. If you say someone is wrong, let us know scripture by scripture so we can also learn and not fly off the handle like that. He even said the GS was sober. For sure he must have discussed with him. In any case, characteristically, the GS himself hasn’t said anything directly. Please cool temper o!

Is covering the body from head to toe with hundred layers of clothing holiness? If i dress the deeper life standard yet think of women all the time, tell lies, fight deceive, and comit all other sin will i make heaven? God is using this incident to draw us all to this grace which is sufficient for us all and po trust his holy spirit to guide us in all we do. Come to think of it, were the couple really indicently dressed?

To mortify d flesh n delivery the spirit n soul from perishing.
To deliver one from being a spiritual bastard.Heb 12vs 5.
To correct errors n mistake in d church.2cor13vs 2 ,10.To maintain a standard n ensure day the ancient landmark is not removed. Prov 22vs 28.
Hence our attitude toward the disciplined are; we should not condone their sin not support what they have done..neither symphatis or encourage them in their evil.but rather pray for their restoration .so that God will be pleased n his heart will be gladdebed.num25vs 6.God bless you.

To d general public, l want to say dat Love, now John kumuyi’s wife is Delilia in Samson’s life. If John was prayerful, l dn’t think dat wedding would ve hold in d first place becos what is inside her is what she displayed on her wedding day. Dat shows she is worldly n she has not visited calvary. Worldliness is enemity b4 God. My advice is for d couple to ask God for forgiveness.

l sometimes gets very confuse about body of christ and doctrines impose on human beings, many years ago Deeper life members were not watching television, infact my Aunt was a very serious member of Deeper life and l can quite remember when she stopped us from watching tv whenever we were on holiday at the time, but today Deeper life are those preaching on the television etc – can anyone explain to me why they choose to abandon that doctrine and take part in television programme? at that time we were seen as sinners because television was condemned by deeper life doctrine. Lets stop fooling ourselves because the kingdom of God Almighty is greater than man and its doctrine.

A hundred bakare cannot match what the likes of Kumuyi, Adeboye, and Oyedepo has accomplished; yet this celebrated false prophet has always shamelessly insulted this God generals. For the fact that you admire those Couple doesn’t make it right, and, for the fact that you do not see anything wrong in it doesn’t make it right either.
For the Couple; it is either they are not yet the ‘SPIRITUAL NAZZARITES’ they ought to be or they just allowed the Devil to make a mockery of them in all of these.(with respect to their background).

@ Esther.,i love that intelligent comment of yours,are we worshipping the doctrine, our GO,the church,the elders in the church or God.Look,it is high time we all wake up from our slumber and be alive to our service to God. Some of the GO,s who lost their wife can’t found it so hard to mourn them for a year before getting married to another one and their followers are somewhere carrying burdens all about.God is freedom!.and mind you,God is not going to judge us according to our church.Christians wake up and know who you believe in.God will show us the way.

..@ esther, in deeper life nobody enforced a doctrine of not watch tv sets.,be truthful to urself, if u sit in front of a tv set, all u will see is pictures of naked woman, abomination that maketh desolate…to be 4 warned is to b4 harmed, we were only warned to be careful with tv sets coz its dangerous…as a means of spreading d gospel, deeper found a better use for it, and that what you see..

Abeg u pple of God…I strongly support Pst Bakare’s stand on dz issue. His one Man of God I hv g8t respect 4 in dz country…DLC haz enslaved so many xtians in d name of doctrine. For crying out loud, n support 4 DLC mr. Doctrine…continue in ur foolishness n stupidity..to d best of my knowledge…d Bible says ‘wisdom is profitable 2 direct’..I really hv pity 4 Deeper life sisters…coz dey r in 21st Century Slavery…My anger is dat, DL GO attended d wedding..his son was Hapi…but Witt due respect to him, he has enslaved other pples children wit wrong doctrine…God will judge everybody someday…! A lady from Deeper life church want us to get marry but she is suggesting me to seek the attention of her church marital committee to bring their sin microscope to check me if am clean of sin. Foolish, crazy, stupid. Am also a theologian At the Africa International University. I think the bishop needs to sit under me for a serious counseling. The way you view the bible should not subject others to you thinking. He needs to Clean his brain so that he can be able to see and understand what the spirit is saying. Every generation comes with it clothes, food, transportation you name them. Will you say we should wear long ropes like Jesus or mosses days then let him stop putting on coat suit.
