Nollywood actor, Hon. Desmond Elliot has revealed why he doesn’t celebrate Valentine’s day like others.
In a telephone chat with TN, Hon Elliot said he doesn’t believe in celebrating Valentine’s day because it is foreign to the Yoruba culture.
His Words:
“I don’t see where people celebrate Eyo festival outside Nigeria. So, me, I’m not into valentine. The day I see the white man celebrating Eyo festival, then me, I would start.”

How many Eyo festivals have you ever celebrated in your life?
You want to claim you celebrated valentine with your wife before and after you married her?
I am not a supporter of valentines day but your statement is full of hypocrisy and lies. Typical of a politician. You only announced you were Yoruba while you wanted to run for public office. Dont you think changing your name to a more traditional name would have refected your love for culture? Mr man, make we hear better word jare.
