The town of Ijebu Ode in Ogun state is currently restless as cultists on revenge mission have ravaged the town.
2 people were recently murdered by a cult clash in the aforementioned city while a member of NURTW was kidnapped.
While one of the victims was murdered at Osimore street, another was shot and beheaded at Ajegunle Ijada area of Ijebu Ode.
The headless body of the deceased was later taken away Sunday afternoon.
It was alleged that the deceased were members of the Eiye cult group and their death was as a result of a reprisal attack.
Also, the member of NURTW, simply identified as Razaq, was attacked at his residence in Oketun Street, Itantebo, Ogun State.
He was rushed to a private hospital named Amazing at Iloro Street in the area after he was shot.
Razaq’s assailants traced him to the hospital and they abducted him after shooting sporadically into the air to scare people away.
The crisis was yet to be abated as at Monday morning.
The premises of Moslem Primary School 2, Isoku, off Ijagun Road this morning was also turned to a battlefield as members of the Eiye cult group also traced one of their marked men to a football pitch and started shooting sporadically.
It was gathered that their target escaped by scaling a fence as residents also scampered for safety.
According to a witness, the killings have turned the once peaceful Ijebu-Ode township to a war zone as residents now stay indoors as early as 7:00p.m.
“I think something must be done urgently to salvage us from these small boys who are killing everywhere. They shot someone on Sunday and we rushed him to a hospital. But surprisingly, some boys stormed the hospital and took him away.
“As I am talking to you now, no one knows the whereabouts of the abducted man. We have been searching for him since then. We even heard that they came back this morning to look for a boy they shot earlier, but his relatives have taken him out of the town. You need to see how the boy with the help of his family fled the town. He was disguised as a woman before they could take him out of the town,” the witness disclosed.
When P.M.NEWS visited the Ajegunle-Ijada area of Ijebu-Ode Sunday evening, most of the residents declined to speak with our correspondent, but there were blood stains on the ground.
As at the time of filing this report, vehicles of anti-crime military personnel of OP MESA were seen in the town while shops, bars and joints which normally close late during weekend stopped doing business around 7:00 p.m.
One of the deceased had been taken to his hometown in a neighboring community where he would be buried on Tuesday.

The only news we get from Nigeria this days are beheading and kidnappings.It seems vagabonds and hoodlums are just running wild since there are no consequences.Countries all over the world are doing their best to be accepted as civilized countries whereas, Nigeria is doing its best to be known a the country retrogressing into the stone age were humans are no different from animals in their behaviour.SO SO SAD.

Is it also the govt dat initiated these boys into cult? Or is it d govt dat asked dem to start killing? Our main problem in naija is not govt. Its our greed,selfishness, stupidity,evil heart, senseless dealings, hunger $ thirst for sharp sharp money. U see a young man of 25yrs he s tinking of driving a jeep not goining for youth service or university sef. He wants to hammer.. Our hearts are evil. Everyday i weep for my mother s land.
