His Royal Majesty Engineer Michael Oviese, the traditional ruler of Irri Kingdom in Isoko South LGA of Delta state has died.
The monarch died of gunshot wounds to the abdomen days after some suspected hired killers shot him at Oleh area of Isoko.
The monarch was trying to stop the assassins from taking away his car when they shot him in the lower abdomen.
Oviese died at University of Benin Teaching Hospital where he had been receiving treatment.
His death is yet to be formally announced but his immediate family members are aware of the development.
