Jamie Foxx Speaks Up After Hospitalization For Stroke

American actor and producer, Jamie Foxx, recently broke his silence on social media to thank his fans and well-wishers for their support after he was hospitalised due to a medical emergency. The actor shared a post via his Instagram page on Wednesday, expressing his gratitude for the love shown to him. Foxx also took to his Instagram stories to thank media personality Nick Cannon, who will be filling in for him on the game show, “Beat Shazam.”

Foxx has been hosting and producing the show since its inception in 2017, and Cannon will be filling in for him while he recuperates. The cause of Foxx’s health issues was not made public, but his daughter, Corinne Foxx, confirmed his condition on April 12 and asked for privacy.

“Luckily due to quick action and great care he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” she said in the statement.

Before his medical emergency suspected to be stroke related, Foxx was shooting a Netflix action-comedy film titled “Back in Action” alongside Cameron Diaz in Atlanta. The actor was reportedly seen filming scenes for the movie just days before his hospitalisation.

The news of Foxx’s hospitalisation came as a shock to his fans, who quickly flooded social media with messages of love and support. Many of his colleagues and fellow celebrities also expressed their concern and well wishes for his speedy recovery.
