Yemi Solade: I’m Not Sure Jide Sanwoolu Will Perform Better Than Ambode As Governor

Nollywood actor Yemi Solade who recently insulted a follower who queried him for showing interest in politics has revealed why he led the bitter exchange with the fan named Papy Eleniyan.

Here is how the controversial actor defended his unprofessional action.

“I am a registered member of the APC and my post on Instagram was to support a friend. But for those who will not stay on their lanes and who need cheap publicity, it is necessary to put them in their place.”

On if Sanwoolu will out-shine the incumbent governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, Solade said:

 “Also, I can’t say Sanwo-Olu will perform better as a governor. We should wait and see what happens. We are all stakeholders in Lagos State; I was born in Lagos and I live as well as work in Lagos.”

    He will perform better if he can listen to his godfather. That is how politics works everywhere not only in Nigeria

    If anybody expect any better performance from Sanwo-Olu differently from his predecessors, that is fallacy.
    It appears that we are not ready for a change in Nigeria. We are just repeating our old style of politics, politics of Godfatherism. In order for us to experience a change in Nigeria, all hand must be on the deck. We cannot push everything to the Government, President Buhari or his people to do it alone. We must ready to sacrifice even laying down our lives to safe this Country from total collapsing but we don’t want to do that. We want good part of democracy but we are not ready to make any sacrifice.

    @bintu & Jibowu,

    It means there is no free and clear election.
