Gian Saro Wiwa Is Dead: Ken Saro Wiwa Son Dies Of COVID-19 In UK
The son of late activist Ken Saro Wiwa has died.
Gian gave up the ghost on Monday in the UK after being hospitalized with COVID-19.
His sister revealed this through a Facebook Post today.
According to Noo Saro Wiwa, Gian, who was born in 1970 had some health issues before contracting the killer virus.
She added that Gian left behind a son.
“We said goodbye to my brother, Gian, on Monday. He had COVID-19 combined with underlying health conditions.
“Gian was the smartest and most talented out of all of us: a champion sprinter at school, a poet, an artist, budding engineer, a self-taught guitarist, and pianist. But mental health issues limited his life from age 16 onwards. A kind and beautiful soul, always wanting the best for his family, always praying for our future success while being eternally optimistic about his own. And, of course, always loved his music”. – Noo wrote in a Facebook post.
Over 20 Nigerians have died of Coronavirus in the UK and US.
In the UK alone, over 13,000 deaths have been reported out of over 100,000 confirmed cases.
