Mother Who Killed Her Baby Claims She’s Possessed By An Evil Spirit
Feb 14, 2013 – Woman Claims She Killed Her Baby Daughter Because She Is Possessed By An Evil Spirit
Annapolis police detectives have charged 25-year-old Chelsea Booth of
Annapolis with killing her 2-year-old daughter, Kassidey Capri Booth.
On February 6, 2013, a concerned citizen contacted the Annapolis Police Department about a 2-year-old child, Kassidey Booth, whom the citizen had not seen in several days.
The investigation by police detectives provided evidence that Kassidey’s mother, Chelsea Booth, killed the toddler earlier this week and disposed of the body, police say. Sources say they believe the toddler was smothered to death.
Police believe the 2-year-old’s body was throw into a trash bin. The toddler’s body was discovered in Jessup.
The child’s mother, Chelsea Michelle Booth has been charged in the death of her daughter.
When interviewed by police Booth said her daughter was suffering from a “Muslim curse” that Antwon Nelson, the child’s father, had placed on her. Booth also said she believed her daughter was possessed by an evil spirit.
Police documents say that Booth said she murdered Kassidey by “laying on top of her and smothering her until Kassidey stopped breathing and showed no signs of life. Ms. Booth then wrapped Kassidey in a blanket and placed her body into a trash dumpster..”
Nelson said that he hadn’t seen the girl in several months.
Booth was charged with child abuse, leading to first degree death, and 1st and 2nd degree murder.
