July 11, 2016 – Pictures: 3 Thieves Caught Stealing Transformer Cables In Umuahia Abia State Disgraced
3 young men caught removing armored cables from a transformer around 1:00am today were disgraced by their captors.
The unidentified suspects were caught in the act at Udi Street on Uzokali rd in Umuahia after midnight.
On sighting the armed suspects, residents quickly raised an alarm.
They were later stripped naked and tied to the electricity transformer before police came to pick them up.

I am very sure they must be some sacked nepa staffs from another place since they are unidentified.
No ordinary person will just go steal from a nepa transformer just like that if he hasn‘t any knowledge about it.

Serves them right! I hope the weather was very cold as they stood there in their “birthday suit”. These NEPA cable thieves are just constituting serious nuisance to Nigeria Communities. After stealing the cables and putting innocent citizens in darkness, they will organize themselves and levy the area people pretending to invite NEPA to use the money collected to buy some spare part and service the transformer whereas they the thieves share the money collected and return the stolen part to its position.
The poor unsuspecting victims of the scam will beso grateful their power supply is restored and the thieves will allow them use of electricity for a short while before repeating the act. Merciless tiffs, may they freeze in the cold. Mchweeeew!!!

Naija like darkness,if not hwo u will steal cables ,when u know without that no light,a beg ,i tried.anything better naija dont like it, always hardship,they want,if not why transformer cables and Govt should stop all this old model things, cables outside for people to steals, in western world everything under ground, nobody know where they put it,so light 24 0 7.
