“I Chose Hardwork Because Armed Robbers Die Of Regret”

Meet John, a 30-year-old unemployed graduate of Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma who chose hard work over armed robbery.

A man identified as Daniel Usifoh saw John on his way to Port Harcourt yesterday at a car Park in Ekpoma Edo state.

He told the man that he ventured  into catering when he couldn’t find any job after he graduated in 2012.

On why street hawking, John told Daniel Usifoh that he prefers handwork to easy money.

See what Mr Usifoh said on FB yesterday about his encounter with the courageous accounting graduate

Check out more viral photos of John below

Hope others can follow his example.

May God bring destiny helpers his way.

  1. Amen to that prayer. Dignity in labour. God will surely make a way for him because he chose the honest route.

  2. MAY God bless his hands! Pride is never virtuous: it has kept many people hungry today, and caused others their untimely death. Humility brings fortunes. The way up is down.

Reminds me of how I started when I couldn’t secure a satisfying job. I took a somewhat old car and started driving as a taxi in PH. Higher purchase things. I balanced the amount tagged on the car in about 9 months and it became mine. Today, I have two cars to my name: a clean Toyota Sienna and that old car, a VW Passat. Even though I am facing some serious challenges with both cars now, my hope is brighter than if I had nothing but empty pride.

Hence I say that this man should be encouraged. My pain is that it’s not hard for govt to instead now come up with policies that would hound him. Soon we may hear that hawking is banned: a superficial concern by the govt on the neatness of the environment and not the neatness of the minds of the people in the society.

  14. Assuming this man John, cooks very well, and some one wants to support him by requesting supply of his food to some of his office staff ( 5 persons) 4 or 5 times a week. Could he do that? He could be paid weekly or monthly ahead of his supply. If he is interested let him indicate by replying to my email.

  15. Please all you need to do is to pass the information to John for his consideration . If he thinks he can do the job in the same town where he lives, he lets me know to get him connected. The details will be discussed with him directly. He could just reply with his phone number and name.. Thanks.

  16. I pray those well meaning Nigerians in position to employ hears this and come to his rescue. There is a destiny helper for your ordained from heaven May God connect you soon to him/her In Jesus Might name, amen.
