The woman pictured about is a 27-year-old Iranian who was recently disqualified from the city council elections in Iran for being too attractive.

Nina Siakhali Moradi topped the 14th out of 163 candidates in Qazvin city council elections with an impressive vote of 10,000.

Even though the poll result showed she has gained a spot on the council, she was surprised when she was voted out for being too beautiful.

On the 14th of June, 2013 Nina was surprised that all her 10,000 votes cast had been cancelled.

According to the International Campaign for human Rights in Iran, Nina Siakhali Moradi‘s disqualification was as a result of her ‘non-observance of Islamic codes’.

It has been suggested that her campaign posters prompted some of the council’s conservative elders to complain.

This is sad. How can a woman be disqualified for her beauty!

So her opponents prefer someone ugly to compete with them or what.
