Wife Threatens To Poison Abusive Husband If Court Refuses To Grant Divorce Request
A woman identified as Olanrewaju Ronke has threatened to killed her husband with poison if a customary court fails to grant her divorce request.
The aggrieved mother of 3 approached a Customary court in Mapo Ibadan yesterday to divorce her husband, who she described as abusive.
She told the court her husband, Olanrewaju Sunday beat her up anytime he saw her with male customers, adding that each time the police were brought in, he would boast that he was a prominent politician.
Her words:
“My lord, he also beat up my mother like a baby. Separate us now, or else, I will poison him. Each time I discuss business with male customers, he would beat me and say they were my lovers.”
Her husband on the other hand begged the court to reject his wife’s request, saying she is like a mother to him.
The court’s President, Chief Henry Agbaje urged the couple to give room for reconciliation as he fixed September 18th, 2018 for final ruling.

I hate when a divorce court fails to take this man’s wife’s threat so serious. That woman has been choked with maltreatment she receives from her husband. I don’t see reason why this court will refer them for further reconciliation. The divorce should normally granted if one party is no more interested period.
