Yomi Fabiyi Dumps Saidi Balogun To Start Save Nigeria Movie Industry Group
Sept 26, 2014 – Yomi Fabiyi Dumps Saheed Balogun To Start Save Nigeria Movie Industry Group
Days after he handed movie producer Saidi Balogun his resignation letter, Nollywood actor Yomi Fabiyi has started his own group
Fabiyi has championed a new anti-piracy group tagged ‘Save The Nigerian Movie Industry’.
Hear what the actor said about his new group:
“Our industry is on a life support owing to the effect of piracy, lack of regulatory body and so on. Therefore, there is the need to synergize with like minds, foster ideas, organise visitations, meetings, seminars and talks, through a proper channel,” Fabiyi said.
“It is with all humility that we call on all and sundry to make this project their primary concern. We have to focus less on the person carrying the idea but believe strongly in the basics of the idea and the sincerity of purpose,”
“We implore all actors to embrace this noble cause and support in their little way,”.
Members of the newly-formed group includes Yemi Solade, Tina Mba, Femi Branch, Toyin Aimakhu Johnson, Yinka Quadri, Ayo Badmus and Kemi Stone.
The group is now trending on Twitter with the new hastag #SaveNigeriaMovieIndustry
