April 25, 2017 – 253 Nigerian Voluntary Returnees From Libya Arrive Lagos This Evening
At least 253 Nigerians citizens who volunteered to return home from Libya have arrived Lagos.
The returnees comprising of 6 children, 5 infants, 140 women and 102 men landed at MMIA around 6:45pm this evening.
Their return home was facilitated by the International Organization for Migration, IOM and the Nigerian Embassy in Libya.
One of the returnees suffered severe face burn while another is battling chronic depression.
NEMA Director Onimode Bandele urged the returnees to work hard in Nigeria instead of seeking greener pastures in dangerous places.
