68-Year-Old Nigerian Woman Delivers Twins Through CS After IVF Conception
An elderly woman broke records this month after giving birth to a set of twins.
The twins were delivered at LUTH Idi Araba on the 14th of April 2020 through C-section at 37 weeks gestation.
LUTH Chairman Prof Adeyemo said the IVF and embryo transfer were done at a facility outside LUTH.
Adeyemo further said that the woman was, thereafter, referred to LUTH at early gestation and was subsequently managed till she was delivered.
“This is the first in LUTH, Nigeria and Africa,” he said, adding that both the mother and the babies were in good conditions. (NAN)
