The General Overseer and founder of The Voice of Faith Ministry located in Sokoh Estate road in Effurun, a town close to Warri, Delta State Nigeria, Bishop Slyvanus Keneri Kenikede was shot dead (killed) around 11:30pm on Tuesday night.naijagists.com

Bishop Sylvanus (Silvanus) who is a pastor and a confidant to Godsday Orubebe, the current Minister of Niger Delta Affairs was rushed to a private hospital on Tuesday night before his death on Wednesday morning.

Pastor Slyvanus of the Voice of Faith Christian Church was returning from flood victim refugee camps after donating some relief materials when he met his untimely death.

“We are yet to believe that our amiable daddy (Bishop) is no more. The people that killed him will not escape the judgment of God and will definitely burn in hell,”he said. A close friend of the deceased, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, described the incident as unfortunate and unpardonable. – said a church member

“Killing a man of God is a grievous sin to be committed by the perpetrators. It is definitely a curse and heavy punishment from God Almighty,”- said a close friend of the deceased (Credit: DailySun)

Late Pastor Slyvanus is the head of the miracle chapel located at Akusu lane off Sokoh Estate Road in Effurun Delta State.

The deceased whose focus was to cater to the less privileged has a primary school dedicated to poor people in the society.

In his lifetime, he has assisted a lot of widows and motherless people in the state.

Bishop Slyvanus‘s corpse has been transferred to Warri Central Hospital mortuary.

    I'm very shocked to see this on facebook , I know him very well and I use to worship in his church with my friend before relocating to lagos , i knew his family since I was a child.God what is this world turning into? Almighty God will not let his killers go free in jesus name AMen.
