700 African migrants drowned today while trying to escape into Europe from Libya.
According to UNHCR spokesperson Carlotta Sami, only 28 out of the 700 migrants who left Libya on board of a fishing boat survived the shipwreck.

It is high time Africa leaderss talk about it coruption is the cause of young Africans fleeing thier countries if the national wealth is share amongs everybody i see no reason why they will choose to die in the sea please ibeg European country Leaders to call emergency meeting on the African leaders maily involve to hold them responsible

millions are out of what here, what are they going to don for Whitman here? paying traffickers thousands of dollars to get here?

My heart breaks so much seeing this and particularly beacuse I live in Italy and you can’t just imagine how the Italians perceive an average black person; either a prostitute, poor or just being an unfortunate being. But the truth is ANYONE who can afford 7000 dollars, go through the jungle and risk his life on a mediterran sea WILL and CAN make it in any african country. It just a shame, shame, shame! Maybe I will write a book someday on this!
