Boko Haram Fighters Surrender To Nigerian Army In Konduga Borno State
Sept 21, 2014 – Boko Haram Fighters Surrender To Nigerian Army In Konduga Borno State
Some members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect have surrendered to the Nigerian troops in Konduga.
According to a statement made available on Twitter by the Defence Headquarters, the insurgents plead for mercy after surrendering their weapons and promise to give vital information about the operation of the sect..
“As the heat on terrorists continues, five terrorists yesterday surrendered with all their weapons to troops in Konduga pleading for mercy,”
“Other captured terrorists have also been giving useful information on the subsequent plans of the group in an apparent offer to cooperate,” the DHQ said in a tweet.
This came after the Nigerian troops launched a counter-terrorism attack on the sect in Konduga as the were proceeding towards Maiduguri.
