Monday January 8, 2018 – Brain To Vehicle: Nissan Set To Build Cars That Read Human’s Minds

A new automotive technology that will sweep you off your feet is coming.

Japanese car manufacturer, Nissan has revealed new technology that could help cars of the future read minds of drivers and speed up vehicle reactions.

Nissan said the first details of research into what it is calling Brain-to-Vehicle (B2V) technology, which uses brainwave-reading tech to spot signals related to movement – such as turning the wheel or pressing a pedal.

The executive VP of the car giant, Daniele Schillaci said:

“When most people think about autonomous driving, they have a very impersonal vision of the future, where humans relinquish control to the machines.

“Yet, B2V technology does the opposite, by using signals from their own brain to make the drive even more exciting and enjoyable.”

“The technology will use a special headset worn by the driver to monitor brain signs, and can also be used if and when a car is in autonomous mode – changing in-car comfort settings if it senses discomfort.

This new technology has the ability to enable a car to take action between 0.2 and 0.5 seconds faster once it detects intended movement from the driver.”

Mind reading vehicles? So an easily offended driver who is overtaken by another can by the power of his mind recklessly set off a car race on the highway not minding the danger to his passengers and to other road users? OR it means with this disturbing trend that drivers on suicide mission drive into crowds, all it requires is the mind set of such driver to cause the car to drive into a big gathering of people and cause mayhem after which the driver can claim it was the car’s fault and not his deed because only the car and no one else can really tell what the driver thought at the time the evil act was carried out?
The thought of building cars conceived to read the drivers’ minds needs much research for safety purposes a beg!

WE ARE Waiting. Maybe after that, they will think of a car that when it gets to a River, it would fly and land on the other side of the River safely.

    I take a stroll…
