My Husband Battered Me For Refusing To Swear An Oath, He Is Threatening To Kill Me
Human Rights Activist Barrister Emeka Ugwuonye has shared a touching story of a domestic violence victim who was battered by her husband after she refused to take an an oath that any man who sleeps with her will die after sex.
Barrister Ugwuonye’s representative who visited the victim at a private hospital in Asaba said:

Woman, better you had no covenant with him. If you are badly battered and all you could think again is that you don’t want to leave your matrimonial home, or you still love him. Mama two things are involved here: 1 leave alive or you leave dead! A word is enough for the wise.

Nduka, i wont blame you because you are a man, why did the man not ask for the same kind of oath for him to take, should he sleep with any woman, let him die? Was there an oath before they got married and why would it be after they have children?? This kind of thing is very common with Nsuka people in Enugu state.

This is man’s inhumanity to man. It is barbaric and diabolic to think about oath taking in this 21st century. Why wouldn’t the man take oath too not to sleep with a woman? Trust is paramount to relationship.

Another question now is God forbid though, but what is going to be the fate of the woman if shortly after taking the said oath, the husband die either by accident, or get killed by terrorist etc?

Taking or swearing of oath is against God’s presence in our lives. I thank the woman for not taking the path. I will advice her to pray more and the God who ordained marriage who intervene in her situation. But this can only happen if truly you are innocent of the accusation from your husband. Did l read it right that the oath is intended to kill “any man” when crosses her? “Any man” includes the husband….if he is a man. Or, is there problem in the other room which makes this husband insecure? He should seek help and not take it out on the wife.

This suppose to be a simple matter, the man felt intimidated as it seems the woman is making more money than him…..sometimes, too much love can cause such problem. Men need to understand one thing, women are wired differently and majority of them (especially married) don’t easily open their legs to any man out there,they are more reserved and articulate in nature and they mostly get arouse by touch unlike men who can easily arouse by sight……bad-mouth and nagging is their major problem.
Single ladies can if they need things from men or they are looking for someone to settle down with and that’s why after marriage,within a little time,they will start going back to their shell which will leave the man wondering if the love still exist,sex is not as important to them as it’s to men,so understanding is highly required but most importantly,put God first because devil must keep on twisting until you fall.
