April 27, 2017 – Jubilation As Residents Of Zaria In Kaduna Witness First Rainfall Of Year 2017

The first rainfall of the year brought relief and joy to residents of Zaria and its environs in Kaduna state today.

The rain which started around 4:45pm lasted for 78 minutes.

The experience brought so much relief to farmers in the area as they expressed gratitude to God for the rainfall which they tagged “blessing from the creator”.

Here is what a farmer based in Makarfi said:

“Whenever rain starts, as farmers, we must be happy and we must appreciate God Almighty for his blessings. A farmer starts clearing his/her farmland preparatory to cultivation’’.

Another farmer in Zaria, Ibrahim Mohammed said:

“May God allow us to see the end of the season in good health and bountiful blessings. Ours is just to plant, but it takes the blessing of God to have bumper harvest”.

The mood in Zaria  yesterday was different as residents expressed gratitude to God the creator for the cooling effect of the rain.
