Mother Of Girl Left Half Dead By Wicked Boss Breaks Silence
Feb 22, 2018 – Mother Of Girl Left Half Dead By Wicked Boss Breaks Silence
Faith hails from Okoffia, Ezza South Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. She was eight years old when Nkechi Bartholomew of Idembia in the local government area of the state took her to Onitsha, Anambra state as house help.
Before Nkechi took Faith away, there was arrangement that the girl’s relatives must sit down and discuss it but the woman allegedly refused to adhere to the agreement and took away Faith to Onitsha. When the girl’s mother, Ngozi, came back from the farm, she could not see Faith.
She asked her neighbours who told her that Nkechi has taken Faith to Onitsha. Ngozi and her husband insisted that their daughter must be taken back home to officially hand her(Faith) over to her(Nkechi).
But Nkechi said there was no cause for alarm and promised to adequately take care of the girl. But Faith was subjected to all manner of inhuman treatment, including insertion of stick into her private part, chaining and torture by Nkechi, who married some years ago but childless. The girl was disfigured by her mistress for being too stubborn.
It was Nkechi’s younger sister, who brought Faith back to village half dead when the lady refused to bring her back and she was arrested by the police. She has shocking scars and injuries all over her body, including eyes. Nwanja also has bloodied mouth and has lost one of her hands to the torture.
Narrating her ordeal, the girl said her madam always tortured her with sticks, hot iron and other dangerous weapons for being stubborn. It was learnt that Bartholomew tortured Nwanja and locked her up in a dark room. She was rescued by Bartholomew’s sister and taken back to Ebonyi State. Nwanja equally accused Bartholomew of chaining her and that she only eats once in a day which, according to her, is usually in the evening.
Speaking to New Telegraph, Faith’s mother, Ngozi Nwanja, said since Nkechi took away her daughter last four years, she has refused to allow her see Faith. She also alleged that Nkechi did not follow due process before taking away Faith. “Before she adopted my daughter, I was having her phone number.
I called her once when she left with my daughter and she asked me who gave me her contact. I asked her were you not the one that gave me your contact? I told her you have my contact and I also have yours and she replied that she will call me back that she was in her shop and she switched off her line immediately.
Since then, she has not called me again. I have been trying her line since then and it kept saying ‘switched off’.
“I became worried and met her mother one day. I pleaded with her mother to give me Nkechi’s contact with which she interacts with her(mother) so that I can speak with my daughter and know when she will come home so that I can see her.
The mother told me that Nkechi is no longer using a phone which heightened my worries. I asked the mother when her daughter will come home, so that I can see Faith. She told me that Nkechi usually come home every January and in that January, I always come to her place to know if she returned and I don’t usually see her.
The woman and her children kept dribbling me about Nkechi and my daughter Faith. “Last month, I insisted that I must see my daughter. I told them that it is better they kill me or I remain alive to see my daughter.
The son picked offence and started quarrelling with me. He told me ‘do you think Nkechi has killed your daughter’? He told me to leave their house that my daughter will be brought back to me if I want to chew her, let me chew her. I told him that I can’t chew my daughter.
“I went back to their house. Immediately they saw me, they started fighting me. I insisted that they must produce my daughter. People gathered there and urged them to release my daughter to me and stop making it look as if they have sold my daughter. They resolved that Nkechi and my daughter will return the next day.
That next day, being February 8, 2018, I went back to know if my daughter has returned and they said she has not and I left again and became very angry because I didn’t know if they have killed my daughter “My husband’s cousin came to me and told me that my daughter has returned and my mother in law immediately ordered me to prepare food so that my daughter can eat.
I left to buy kerosene, while I was buying the kerosene, people kept spreading the news that my daughter has returned and they were telling me that I will not believe that she is my daughter the way she is disfigured.
“I immediately proceeded to Nkechi’s house to see my daughter but they refused to open door for me when I asked them where my daughter is. I became angry and told them to immediately release my daughter for me since I did not sell her to them.
I hit their door and saw my daughter mutilated. I started crying and went to police station to report the matter. “I gave out my daughter to her because she requested that I did so. When she came to me and my husband and requested that we allow her take our daughter, we said no problem but our relatives must be invited to deliberate on it. I left to farm.
Before I could return, she has already taken my daughter. When I asked why Nkechi took away my daughter like this, they told me that she said she has already discussed it with me. I didn’t know the day she took away my daughter. The story of 12-yearold Faith Nwanja is very pathetic. She was mutilated by her boss and rendered half dead. UCHENNA INYA, in Abakaliki, reports

This is sad…..I weep for this young girl. Her life will never be same. Hmmm, but this woman Nkechi is the real devil’s wife, no need to go far searching for. What a barbaric act!

They took your child away withut the proper approval of you and your husband when you daughter was eight years and you relax till when she is twelve years when damages has been done to your daughter and you did not bother to go to onitsha and look for your child no matter what it will cost you. Madam you fail as a mother.

Where in Onitsha was she supposed to go? Did she tell you she knew where the abductor lived? All she had was her phone number and the woman cut her off. Something as terrible as this happened to a helpless young mother and all you do is blame the mother! What is wrong with your thought pattern? Could the woman have taken d daughter of somebody like her?! She went for the vulnerable. Ogbeni use your head and stop pouring salt on wound. A woman did this evil to a fellow woman because she felt she had the power to do and undo. She was a friend to the mother in law, so even the mother in law is culpable because she was the one that allowed them do this to her grand daughter.

The little girl is just too young to be an house help. To all mother out there, never give out your kids to another person to raise for you. You are better off becoming an househelp to feed your child rather than subjecting them to domestic abuse which they may not forgive you when they fully grown up.
