In the wee hours of Monday, January 2nd, 2017, Nollywood actress Toyin Majekodunmi aka Iya Kike died of heart attack.
The actress whose husband is also an actor died at the age of 61
On Wednesday the 8th of March 2017, Nollywood lost another legend to the cold hands of death. Veteran actor Prince James Uche lost his battle to diabetes and kidney disease after 8 years of struggle.
He died at the age of 55.
On the 22nd of April 2017, Ibadan-based thespian Olumide Bakare died at UCH after a prolonged battle with respiratory disorder.
Veteran Yoruba Samuel Adesina Adesanya aka Pastor Ajidara died at the age of 63 on May 7 2017. Though it was revealed that he died of kidney disease, an insider said his death was spiritual in nature.
On the 17th of May 2017, Nollywood actress Moji Olaiya died of child birth complications in Toronto, Ontario Canada.
Four of the late movie stars are from the Yoruba sector of the Nollywood movie industry.

Not yet complete another yoruba actress also died this year called Modupe Oyekunle, the actress died in Abeokuta after given birth to a bounce baby girl, she also need to be mentioned as well. May their souls rest in perfect peace.
