The former President was heading to the airport yesterday when his convoy got into a mishap some metres from Sagamu Interchange along the popular Lagos Ibadan Expressway.
According to eye witnesses, Obasanjo’s SUV suffered rear tyres burst.
The former military man was quickly escorted from the accident vehicle into another SUV in his convoy as he headed straight to Lagos.
Though FRSC denied the car accident report, inside sources alleged that it actually happened some minutes after Sagamu.
The Oga on top has since left the country.
