The rate at which men are being raped by women in Zimbabwe is very alarming and the police authorities have advised men to stay off the streets for their own safety.

Another syndicate of two female rapists was reported to have abducted a man last Friday evening and drove him to a quiet suburb where they took turns to sexually abuse him after drugging him. Police spokesman, Leonardo Chabata said female rapists are using every trick in the book to lure men into their grip before drugging them.

“They allegedly met on Friday in Harare and the man introduced his accomplices as his friends telling them he had secured employment for the victim in Mutare.

They drove in a white Toyota Land Cruiser from Harare and just after Msasa they bought drinks. As they were drinking, one of the alleged female rapists did not finish her drink and gave it instead to the victim who drank it not knowing that she had put a drug in the can.

He felt dizzy and started sweating before falling unconscious only to wake up and find himself having sex with one of the women,”said the police chief.

After uncounted rounds of sex, one of the rapists observed the man was producing blood and thus advised her syndicate that the victim was no longer useful and was dumped in the bush left for dead. After regaining consciousness, the victim crawled to the roadside where he was assisted by Samaritans who took him a nearby hospital where he was treated for exhaustion and bruised penis.

Police said investigations have been launched, but advised men to be careful of accepting a ride from women especially those traveling in groups.(Daily Nation)
