May 23, 2014 – Thunder Killed Pregnant Woman Cooking In Kitchen & Barber Closing Shop In Gboko Benue State
A pregnant woman and a barber have died in Gboko town, Benue state following a heavy rainfall.
The pregnant woman (names withheld by request) was said to be in cooking in her kitchen when the thunder struck and killed her instantly while the barber, Mr N Nyajo was trying to lock his shop when the thunder struck and killed him also.
Area residents claimed the accident happened around Average Hotel street nearby St Gabriel’s Catholic church in Gboko W LGA of Benue state.
The tragedy was confirmed by Mr Nahan Zenda, the Chairman of Gboko LGA. He said the case has been reported to the police.

Please pple learn not to hold anything that has iron when its raining or when u see thunder coming cos its attracts it, that is why pple hav to earth their houses with those poles u see on roofs top. Thunders attracts iron, so those poles will be its first contact. Try and learn pple. Google why pple die frm thunder strike.
