Not less than 12 people lost their lives today in a terrorist attack carried out by a male suicide bomber in Maiduguri.
According to eyewitnesses, the male terrorist ran into Alai Fadawu market on the outskirts of Maiduguri this afternoon and detonated his explosive device during the busy hour, killing 12 people on the spot.
48 others were injured in the attack.
Moments after the first attack, another suicide bomber blew himself up in the same market and died on the spot with no other casualties.
The first attack was carried out around 4:15pm.
