Not less than 9 Chadian soldiers and 40 Boko Haram fighters died in deadly clashes that happened in communities around Lake Chad on Friday.
According to the Chadian military, Boko Haram engaged the troops at Kaiga, the home of Chadian army on Lake Chad.
The troops in response pushed back the terrorists who came in convoy but in the process, Chad lost 9 soldiers as 40 of the insurgents lost their lives before others fled.
