Boko Haram: Gunmen Attack Yobe Church

June 10, 2012 – Boko Haram Gunmen Attack Yobe Church

On Sunday June 10th, 2012, several suspected Boko Haram militants attacked a church located in Biu, Yobe State, Nigeria.

The gunmen who opened fire on the worshipers killed one instantly leaving others injured.

The gunmen disappeared after their act, the CAN official said. It was the second attack today, after the bombing of the God Chosen Church in Jos.

Yobe and the neighbouring Borno state have been the epicentres of the Boko Haram insurgency, which has led to the death of close to 1,200 people in Nigeria.
