At the request of US President Donald Trump, President Buhari put a call through to Washington this afternoon.
In a statement released by PMB spokesperson,Femi Adesina, the telephone conversation between Buhari and Donald Trump today was very cordial.
Donald Trump reportedly praised Buhari for his effort in rescuing 24 of the over 200 missing Chibok school girls.
Trump assured the Nigerian President of US readiness to cut a new deal in helping Nigeria in terms of military weapons to combat terrorism.
He also invited Buhari to Washington at a later date.
