Oct 26, 2013 – Genevieve Nnaji Stuns In Yellow Dress At Lagos Fashion & Design Week

This bright yellow dress designed by Nigerian designer Bridget Awosika is what Nollywood actress Genevieve wore to the recently concluded Lagos Fashion & Design week.

Genny completes her look with matching yellow heels and a black purse.

Critics claim Genevieve Nnaji should have put on proper dress.

Another source claims she looks like a runs girl in that outfit…. do you agree ?

  1. Don’t crucify her yet bcos we all make mistakes
Genny this is a no no next time pick the right dress dt compliments u

  2. abeg, der is nufin wrong wit d dress…..its nyc……runs girl!!! Pple wear dis durin summer so nufin is wrong…….its nyc and simple

    • @hunter…..you are so outdated.what do u know about fashion.Top celebrities here in New York where such to Red carpet events, but she wore it to fashion show, which is excellent.it is a casual event, not a red carpet event.who on earth think Genny doesn’t know what she is doing.she is classy, with taste.

      • @Red, so thats fashion oh! Makes her look like a scarecrow! A beautiful Genny, that night dress should be pulled off before leaving the bedroom!

  3. A fashion and design show,I think is the perfect outfit minus the shoe, fashion is all about creativity and that dress falls in the right sense of show.

    • @Red…..nothing is wrong with the shoes.it compliment the outfit.it is not necessary black shoe, black clutch at times.Attimes your clutch can go with the colour of your hair.Travelling is part of education.i think so people on this page, need to leave naija Attimes,to visit other country, for more exposure.Gosh!

  4. She looks like a ghost, honestly the yellow dress really brings out the ugliness in her, no wonder no man is interested

  5. She looks absolutely stunning.when wld Nigerians learn how to mind their own business?it is all the time you look too serious on your outfit.it was a fashion show, not red carpet events.Let her haters go,and make their own life meaningful, instead of doing oversabi.Go girl,u Rock!

  6. Let me make it clear to some people here that, anything can be wore to a fashion show.it is not necessary you follow other people’s trend.you may lay your own way,for other people to copy.Any nonsense put together, turns out to be fashion Attimes. There are so many outfit being sent from abroad to Nigeria, that are rubbish, but we tend to accept just bcos is from abroad.A lady who sew a top with Ankara, and make one hand short, another long, feels comfortable in it,bcos people accept wearing it,and they call it latest fashion, but in the real sense of it,it is nonsense, but when you wear it,u feel u v wore something special.10years ago, such fashion will be seen as extreme, and probably a lunatic way of dressing, but someone started it,and everyone take it.what am insinuating here is that,do something new, make a difference, and let other peoples follow.Don’t always do copy cat.i can decide to wear buba on short,or wear it on a mini maxi skirt, still turk in the buba in the skirt, and use a beautiful tiny belt around the skirt.i v made the difference. That is what is called fashion.so far you feel comfortable in it,before you know, others will follow.so,fashion is simply what you put together to wear on your body, and you feel absolutely comfortable. Here in New York, the whites are always envious of our outfit, bcos we create crazy styles, and when will wear them, they think we are wearing something great. They will beg to snap you, becos they like, and appreciate what we wear.Sometimes ago, nobody use Ankara to sew lace, but now, people wear it,but someone started it.That person has made the differences.l love to be me,anywhere I go,and not someone else.Go to the industry and see young Nigerians doing fashion.people like:YOMI CASUAL(comedian AY younger brother)AMOS TAFIRI,HOUSE OF NWOKA,among others, they are making great outfits, some don’t make sense, but people are patronising them bcos it’s all fashion. They are doing great, bcos they v made themselves useful to their society, they refused to be affected by nigeria’s problem.Make yourself outstanding today, standout, leave the crowd, let people know you for something special, and not for hating.people who critise people never go anywhere, bcos they wl always discuss people that are making it,while the remain stagnant.i choose to be difft. That cloth Genny wore is made by a young nigerian.very younge lady, yet Genny patronised her.Tell me how much she will charge Genny, that she will not be able to pay?you too, start something, and let celebs patronise you.if u can’t be them, you can chop there money in ni?

  7. Oluwadunni or wateva u called urself, d gr8est mistake u can eva make on naijagists again in ur entire miserable lyf if u‘ve got any, is 2 open dat stinking hole on ur face u called mouth 2 call me names.
4 ur info, Genny is my star actress n i like her movies a lot, in addition 2 dat, she‘s a v beautiful screen goddess… bt dat does nt mean i shld appreciate any rubbish she wears in d name of fashion show.
Let d westherners do dia tin dia own way n let‘s uphold our culture of decent dress code rather dan immitating dem. Let‘s immetate dem in oda tins dat‘ll yield positive results lk :-good govenance, system of education, systems dat works, n development. Bt nt dia crazy way of dressing.
So in a nutshell, learn hw 2 weigh ur comment b4 posting or learn hw 2 tame ur tongue 4rm pple making sensible comments lk D Hunter & ms RED. Understood?

  8. That’s my sweet Hunter, oluwadunni, I don’t really have to insult you because you did so yourself, for d fact you see your village girlfriends in bend down select does not mean is where every woman shop, you are talking to RED who live and breathe fashion, fashion and it’s research is my second part time job in America not Nigeria,go and get stylewatch mag.com and direct your question to Red,she will be waiting for you.next time do your research about people, who they are before you run your month shamelessly or showcase ignorance, for the fact everybody is in naijagist to have fun does not make them your class.ewu yoruba.

    • I like ur comment to d so called “Ewu ******” cus it amaze me why some people will sit back there, relax and make unpleasant comments about people that aren’t even aware of Their existence. Fashion in my own sense of judgement is a display of an accepted and appreciated outfit. It mustn’t follow a particular style or traend.

  9. I just went through most of your comment and came back to tell you how stupid and hungry you sound oluwadunni.if you are really fashion forward u should know that d color matters a lot in fashion world,a light grey. or metallic color could have nailed it because of d style the dress was made, pls check for desperate housewives make up crew you will meet red in person,go through luminaries air brush commercial red is there in person.I left naija for US to make money and live the life I want so don’t expect me to sit still and make money from one source.I will feed you the latest trend in fashion world till you pass out, maybe the word color blocking when it comes to very bright color is a person name to you.if you want to be known as a person stop insulting people who might put in good word for you in various places and open your own site with your family as your workers. This is a public site for everybody to view their mind, your behaviour to me is just like a person that never expect to have anybody number is his/her life and was given a phone by chance hereby thinking that all phone are of same class.in a lower English for your own understanding a sorry ass low life animal.DO YOU UNDERSTAND. ME ?

    • A low life?hmm definitely not me my dear.Am a proud lawyer based in the states. At hunter you can drop your number, and I will give you a call to prove you wrong ok.As for maybe I lived in Ajegunle?i have lived in a place worse than that, and that has contributed immensely to my success story in life.if you want to know a less responsible person, such person will insult other people’s family, and that was what you did.Bringing my family into this, has made me see you as claiming what you not.you lack personality, and respect.what a shame.of what use is your career without character.no wonder you name yourself RED.As for you hunter,by your comments,I already know who you are.such a bad news.

  10. Ms Red my Dearest, dnt mind dat primitive yoruba COCOA girl 4rm 1 of d interior hamlets in d westhern Nigeria who might b in Ajegunle Lagos yet claiming 2 b in America who called herslf Oluwadunni.
She has quickly 4gttn dat, it is d quest of tryn 2 copy d White man‘s fashion dat has made most of our girls on d street 2dy goin almost naked. Odawise, tell me wat‘s so special abt wat genny is wearn here?
A dressin dat UNTOUCHABLE Naijagists commenters lk IRON BAR, MS RED & D HUNTER has condemned, 1 Asho Oke girl is busy promoting.
D fact dat Genny, a celebrity is wearin dis does nt make it acceptable. Afterall celebs lk Rihanna, Lady gaga n many more dresses provocatively so much dat Lady gaga‘s private part showed live on stage in 1 of her music concerts as she tried 2 raise 1 of her legs. Fashion my ass.

    • @hunter…you called me a primitive yoruba girl?what else can I say, your comment has justified who you are.such an illiterate, uncivilised.what has tribe got to do with this?is obvious you so gullible.

  11. OLUWADUNNI,Red don’t fight women like herself, when I see people’s progress it motives me to work harder and make a name for myself,That you are in America or hell is your own personal life and have nothing to do your other people life. After all dangote if the spelling is correct is in Nigeria and a billionaire, don’t rub who or what you in people’s face because no matter how rich you are someone is silently richer than you.I was surprise at your rude attack and name calling cause I did you no wrong or made fun of you in any way,am very proud of the name red as in code red because I earned that name baby in my line of duty.if your words were in such tone as it is right now, there could be no reason for this exchange of bitter words which I don’t enjoy, you came in like a wild wind blasting everybody here as if they are stupid and work for you that was why I mentioned your family because is not your family biz,my dear I don’t give a fuck of who or what you are,Red is here to make money and take care of her family because is their right.if you have opening in whatever you claim you are,I will apply for it and make the hell of the wealth, retire in the life I wish for and see who gets the last laugh.I didn’t fly across Atlantic ocean to come and club in American or claim who is who,I have a purpose in life and am working towards that.if you know who you are you don’t have to rub it in anybody’s face, let them know you on there own and respect you.Am a registered nurse with harbour UCLA in los Angeles, who work as a treatment nurse part time for the US army when they have need for me, and that’s how I earn the name RED.I work 12 hour shift 4days in a week and the rest of my time I spend it in stylewatch or commercial work listen my dear am really tense up and don’t have time to dance around which was why I supported your guy when he said his social life is dead because mine is too and I knew what he meant.I ease tension here in naijagist when am done for the day and don’t need you to add more to it.I don’t like fighting girls so pls don’t make it happen.

  12. I don’t have to lie or claim what am not because for me to leave Nigeria and come to America to work 3 different jobs shows that my father is not Nigeria president, but is very comfortable to be able to send me and my sister here,so we have to work hard to make him proud of us and thank him for giving us a better life by taking care of him.if am not what I claim to be,my dear nothing on earth will make me tell you the exact place or name a particular firm because I know you will check it to be sure she is what she claim to be,because I will do the same thing.take it easy my dear, nobody knows where we might meet next. This world is a big but small place, don’t be rude to people.I hate childish behaviour because it will only slow me down like am doing right now, trying to explain myself to you when I should be sleeping because I will be leaving for work in 6hour time and I didn’t blink a wink last night during this shit am doing now.stay sweet, you are a woman from the look of things and single is am right and maybe under20 or 20 from your reasoning and excitement,so i will be treating you like my daughter because am 28 and older than you,so run along to the mall and do some shopping mama got work okey? don’t misbehave while you are out there my little angel.

  13. @Red…am 4years older than you.Am 32,aye lo bami,ok?am not single honey,V got 3beautiful children.2boys(twins 5years old)and a damsel,a girl,2years now.my kid sist is a year older than you.Anyways,keep resting.lol

  14. Did you get my reply Red?incase you don’t,am 32 years old,happily married to the world best man,got 3lovely kids(2handsome boys twins)’and a gorgeous damsel a girl.The boys(5yrs old,while my girl is 2yrs old.my kid sist is a year older than you are.so I sh
D call you little angel, cos u 4yrs younger than l.lobatan!Anyways Red darling take care,be good at work, and be conscious lol.

  15. OH MY GOD,OLUWADUNNI ,you don’t know how happy i am right now for this understanding, infact my hands are shaking right now and my heart is pumping much blood to my heart.I hate fighting with people because it makes me restless,I wish we will meet some day and laugh over this while eating ice cream.my greeting to your family and my outbursts, pls kiss your lucky man and tell him Red said he have a strong woman in you.I hope we will be friends from now.thank you my dear,I feel like dancing right now.

  16. See these fools…somebody is making her money and u people are here hitting ur heads for cloth she wore…just cloth o..chai…Nigerians are terrible..enemies of progress
