July 23, 2013 – “Bad Road Condition In Nigeria Killed Patience Jonathan’s Mother” – Port-Harcourt Based Activist
A very vocal Port-Harcourt based human right activists and a lawyer has blamed the death of Patience Jonathan’s mother on the bad road condition in Rivers State, Nigeria.
Ken Atswete who publicly rebuked the Federal Government in 2012 over the dilapidated state of major roads in the state is speaking up again.
He said that it is sad and a shame that President Jonathan’s failure in governance has to led to the death of many Nigerians on that road, particularly his mother-in-law, Charity
He also blasts President Jonathan for flying to Port Harcourt via helicopter in order to avoid road accident death.
He said that for over two years commuters have preferred to take the Omagwa International Airport-Elele-Omerelu road close to the Imo State boundary dualised by Governor Amaechi’s administration, to avoid the death trap called East/West road.
May the soul of Iwarioba and other innocent victims of road accident in the country rest in peace.
