Public – State and Federal – universities in Nigeria are too numerous to mention. In fact. there is an average of 2/3 public universities in every state of the federation. And while some of these universities are comparatively of standard quality, a number of them are just there for political lousiness (gratification).

List of State Universities in Nigeria that Accept Second Choice
Today, most Nigerian institutions hardly consider second choice candidates. In fact, this is the established policy in most federal universities, especially the so-called “top” universities. Nevertheless, a good number of state and private universities still accept second choice candidates for admission. And, here, we’ll be showing you a brief outline of the states universities that accept second choice.

Note: Virtually all state universities in Nigeria consider second choice candidates for admission, after they must have considered all qualified first choice candidates. However, the above-listed schools offer a fairer admission process to candidates who pick them as second choice.
List of State Universities in Nigeria that Offer Pharmacy
The number of universities in Nigeria offering Pharmacy is quite scanty. Although quite a number of Nigerian universities offer Pharmacy, only a handful of them are accredited to offer the course.
In figures, only seventeen universities, out of the over 100 universities in Nigeria, are accredited to offer Pharmacy to students. Of the seventeen universities, only three state-owned universities make the list. These state universities include:

Federal universities are generally considered the best in Nigeria. Hence, a typical Nigerian student prefers a federal university to a state or private university.
