March 18, 2013 – Boko Haram Destroyed 50 Out Of 52 Catholic Churches In Maiduguri Borno State – Rev Ituah
Rev. Father Jerome Ituah, the parish priest of Christ the King Catholic church in Kurudu, Abuja said the dreaded Islamic sect, Boko Haram has destroyed 50 out of the 52 Catholic churches in Maiduguri, Borno State.
In a church service on Sunday, the Rev. father revealed that he visited Maiduguri last week and to his surprise faithful church members were conducting services under the sun and rain because their churches have been destroyed by the Jihadist sect.
“Out of the 52 catholic churches in Maiduguri diocese, 50 of them have been destroyed by Boko Haram. Yet the faithful are not discouraged of their faith. You would always see them worshipping under rain and sun in open places at the site of their destroyed places of worship,” he stated.
He used the opportunity to urge faithful catholics to pray for their church members in Maiduguri and other volatile states for divine protection.

Point of correction, the jihadist destroyed 50 buildings and not fifty churches because the real church are the believers in christ Jesus. It is not possible for a mere mortal to destroy the church of God, even satan himself cannot. For them to succeed in destroying the church, they have to kill the whole Christians in the state, and which by the power of God is not feasible because the more they kill the christians the more people convert to christianity. That is a secret God kept for himself. My prayer is that, may God open their eyes to see that they are not truely killing for him as they claimed but are killing for satan and his kindom. Because no one can fight for the living God that i know.

Situation in Nigeria’s becoming unbearable day by day. Truly, I can see that there’s no security for lives n properties in this country. How can some sect(because of their selfish religion)denying christians from serving their God? Govt should take the bull by the horn. They should face reality instead of chasing shadows. Those pple who never wish peace in this country will not have peace.
