Suspected Boko Haram gunmen struck 7 communities in Ogba, Egbema and Ndoni LGA of Rivers State on Wednesday night killing 15 people instantly.

The suspected terrorists about 12 came into the community on six motorcycles and operated from 9pm till around 12:56am on Thursday morning.

The assailants armed with AK47 rifles shot their victims at close range.

In the attack, 1 person was killed in Ede, another in Obite, 2 killed in Egite while other victims were killed in Obiosimiri community.

This is what a source said about the attack

“In Akabta community, the gunmen killed one person and an undisclosed number of people were injured. So far, 15 persons were killed during the night raid by the unknown gunmen.

“They (gunmen) began their operation at about 9pm on Wednesday night till early this (Thursday) morning. As I speak with you, some of our people, who were injured, are in the hospital,” the source from Egi clan in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni added.
