The Nigerian government through the Federal Executive Council of Nigeria has approved N1.5 Billion for the repairs of third mainland bridge. A statement was released by the Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku while he was briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of the weekly FEC meeting. The meeting was presided over by Vice President Namadi Sambo. naijagists.com
In a his statement, Mr Labaran said:
“One of the most important decisions made today was that the FEC directed the Federal Ministry of Works to undertake a comprehensive stress check on all bridges in the country to ensure their integrity”
The minister of Works and Housing said the council directed the ministry to always ensure annual budgetary allocated of funds for the maintenance of all highway bridges across.
