HIV Positive Nigerian Couples Deliver 72 Healthy HIV Negative Babies In Bauchi State Nigeria
A major medical breakthrough has been announced as the world marks 2018 World AIDS Day celebration in Bauchi state Nigeria today.
According to the Chairman of the State’s HIV/AIDS Control Agency, out of the 156 HIV positive couples expecting babies in the state, 72 delivered healthy babies who tested negative to the Sexual Transmitted Disease.
The agency established in 2008 successfully arranged the wedding of 156 HIV positive couples to control the spread of the killer disease and through medical interventions, 72 of the couple delivered 72 healthy babies.
Dr Alkali Muhammad revealed this to the News Agency of Nigeria in Bauchi today.
