UNIABUJA protest started from the Faculty of Engineering when the school management refused to produce the official exam timetable even when students in other faculty have started their own exams.

According to a University source, “The authorities felt there is no point writing exams for courses that have no accreditation until the issue is resolved, but the students feel shortchanged by the management. That is why they started protesting today,”

Dis is not only bad, but slap at the university. The Students ought to protest radically just as they did. For how long would this continue? How long would they keep treating us as though we do not knw our right? Yet, u hear them say ‘we are the future of the nation’. We don’t need words that float on air, we need concrete words with action to back up. Sad to say bt uniabuja is not among the top hundred schools. We need a change

No student would be happy to graduate from a course that is not accredited, they should bear with the management while they sort the stuff out with the government.

This is gross inefficiency at the apex of govt. If University situated at the FCT can not boast of a major faculty (Engineering)… And the education minister and NUC boss Okoje is going round private institutions because of money… We may never get there… Note: America is not word powered by anything but Intellectual properties… No wonder thay remain the word power… Coz anywhere Education goes power accompanies… God we are in your hand..

DEFINITION OF LEADERSHIP IN UNIVERSITY OF ABUJA
It is a well established fact that the leadership of University of Abuja under the auspice of Prof. Adelabu as a Vice Chancellor is an example of a military administration. The Vice Chancellor has displayed this attribute several times when he refuses to listen to the advice given by students on the current issue of Unaccreditation affecting Faculty of Engineering University of Abuja.
The Vice Chancellor (Prof. Adelabu) on 30th October displayed a high level of unwise decision and what people would describe as a barbaric and wicked decision when he ordered his Fulani herdsmen who reside within the premises of the School Main Campus to attack the students of Faculty of Engineering who where at the Faculty to exercise their rights.
The graduated students of Faculty of Engineering on the 30th of October 2012 where at their Faculty to Barricade the Faculty because the Dean Faculty of Engineering has not been working inorder to put things in place for those graduated students to get their Statement of Result and go for their NYSC. This they successfully achieved but rather than a decision to dialogue and plead with the student to open the Faculty, the Vice Chancellor ordered his men to attack the students with matchets, knives, sticks, etc. This resulted in several injuries been inflicted on these students. The case was seen of a student who was severely injured and taken to the hospital for treatment.
The graduated students also locked up the faculty because the Dean Faculty of Engineering had refused to grant them audience and he had not been carrying out his duties as a Dean. The students expected dialogue has the last resort, rather than that, the Vice Chancellor Prof. Adelabu ordered his hired Fulani and agoi loyalist to attack the students with knives, matchets, sticks, etc. In a bid to protect themselves from the attack, the students had to protect themselves. Some students were brutally injured in the process, while a student was rushed to the hospital for treatment. It is very unwise that a period like this when hands should be on deck to make accreditation a success, the Vice Chancellor occupies himself with employing and funding Fulani illiterates and heartless individual who loiter around the school waiting for opportunities to attack students.
We still can’t understand why an educated person who should know better about what frustration can lead to, should display such an animalistic behaviour. We also want to know why Gov’t funds a Vice Chancellor who uses its funds to employ touts. We are not oblivion of the fact that the school authority has all the machineries to want to oppress us and the truth. But we know that when a ‘’Conscienceless power meets with a powerless conscience, the former will only laugh first but the latter will surely laugh last’’.
Our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Adelabu is an example of an academic misfit, an educated actor without a cconscience, an asinile coward, a leader without leadership skills, to mention but few. We would also want the Conscienceless power to note that when ‘’A human goat is pushed to the wall, he will be forced to philosophise that ‘’the only justifiable justice against unjustifiable injustice is justifiable injustice’’. The mask will soon be turn. God be on our side.C
