Panic As Man Dies Of Tramadol Drug Overdose In Aba Abia State
An unidentified young man today died after taking substance suspected to be Tramadol in Abia State.
According to reports, the lifeless body of the young man was found in front of a locked up shop at St Michael’s road in Aba.
An eyewitness said the man allegedly bought the drug at a notorious drug spot on Milverton street by Asa road before he slumped and died.
Here is what the witness who identified himself as Chidi said:
“we came here in the morning only to meet the corpse of the man as he was lying in front of a shop.
“The shop owners refused to open shop for fear of being arrested by the police.
“People who know him said that the guy went to Milverton to take substance suspected to be Tramadol.
“According to them, the guy may have taken in excess the substance which resulted to his collapse and his eventual death.”

Where is NAFDAC and other regulatory bodies as this drug is reportedly becoming a recurring decimal in the sudden death of so many people in recent times? If the drug should only be purchased upon Doctor’s prescription, then the people selling it indiscriminately should be fished out and punished
