Kogi PDP Politician Natasha Akpoti Injured In Car Crash On Abuja Lokoja Highway
Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for the Kogi Central Senatorial Election, has been hospitalized following a ghastly auto accident along the Abuja-Lokoja highway. The incident happened on Friday, 14th April 2023.
According to the statement released by her team, Natasha suffered a bone crack as a result of the accident. She was immediately rushed to the Federal Medical Center (FMC) in Lokoja, where she was stabilised before being transferred to another medical facility in Abuja.
Although she suffered a few stitches on her face and a crack on a bone, the statement further revealed that she should be up and about soonest.
The PDP candidate expressed gratitude to the staff of FMC Lokoja for their swift response and organisation of her transfer to Abuja. She also expressed appreciation for the outpouring of love and prayers from her family, friends, and well-wishers.
It is unclear at this point what caused the accident, and there has been no official statement from the authorities regarding the incident. However, reports suggest that the driver of the vehicle, who was also involved in the accident, was unhurt and was saved by the airbag.
Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is a well-known figure in Nigerian politics, and her candidacy for the Kogi Central Senatorial Election has been closely watched by political analysts and observers.
