July 28, 2014 – Female Boko Haram Suicide Bomber Attacked NNPC Filing Station In Kano, 4 Killed
Today, a woman dressed in Hijab who pretended as a Kerosene buyer at NNPC filing station along Maiduguri Road in Kano blew up herself inside the crowded filling station.
According to a press statement released by Frank Mba, 3 people died on the spot while 8 others were severely injured, one of which later died in the hospital.
The bomber did not succeed in igniting the gas station as planned, a situation that would have clearly led to many more deaths and injuries.
The police anti-bomb squad has arrived the scene of this latest attack.
Monday’s bombing is the 4th major suicide bombing carried out by Boko Haram in the last 24 hours, 2 of which were carried out by female suicide bombers.
Now that Boko Haram has changed its modus operandi, more female suicide bombers are currently on suicide missions to various destinations across Nigeria.
