A serious gunfight between suspected Boko Haram militants and the Nigerian soldiers today has left six people dead.
The gunfight happened at a new housing estate in Bado area of Sokoto city.
The battle that lasted for about 60 minutes left one soldier and five militants dead.
The suspected Boko Haram militants allegedly rented the flat which they have been using as their operational base.
